Defensor Security

Defensor Security is a family-run business founded by Steve Simpson, a former front-line Police Officer, in 2002. With a background in the Armed Forces, the Police Force, and a Global Fibre Optic Company, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. Covering West Sussex, parts of East Sussex, Hampshire, and Surrey, Defensor Security works in close partnership with Smart Electrics Group and Tag Contracting Services, providing a broad range of skills from electrical works to an in-depth knowledge of criminal entry methods.

At Defensor Security, we pride ourselves on our SSAIB Accreditation for Intruder Alarms and CCTV Systems. Our adherence to current regulations and industry standards, coupled with our regular inspections by the SSAIB, ensures that our customers receive the highest level of service and expertise. Joining Steve on various projects are:

• Alastair Toal from Smart Electrics Group, a NIC EIC Registered Electrical Contractor and highly skilled electrician with a background in Telecommunications & Networking.

• Installation: Our experts provide a practical, common-sense approach to the installation of your electronic security systems. All quotations are free and valid for 30 days.
• Servicing & Repairs: Our knowledgeable and experienced engineers are available to service and repair most electronic security systems to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
• Upgrades & Additions: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology or expand your security system. We provide solutions to suit your evolving requirements.
• Sub-Contract Services: Collaborating with other service providers, we offer sub-contract services, drawing on our extensive skillset.

Domestic Systems

Our domestic security systems encompass Wired, Wire-Free, or Hybrid Systems, all of which conform to relevant British and European Standards. Upon completion, we provide a Certificate of Compliance for your peace of mind.

• Wired Systems: Providing durability and reliability, wired systems link security devices to the central control unit through wiring.
• Wire-Free Systems: Offering flexibility and ease of installation, wire-free systems use radio waves to connect devices and the control unit.
• Hybrid Systems: Combining wired and wire-free components, hybrid systems offer the advantages of both systems, optimising security in complex installations.

Commercial Systems

Our commercial systems cater to businesses of all sizes, with Wired, Wire-Free, or Hybrid options available. As with our domestic systems, a Certificate of Compliance is issued on completion.

• Monitored Systems: Defensor Security offers a variety of monitored systems to our Alarm Receiving Centre, with dual-path systems and GSM units available. These insurance-approved units ensure prompt response in case of activation.
• Telephone Diallers: Stand-alone PSTN or GSM units can be configured to dial predetermined landline or mobile numbers during an alarm event.

Automatic Gates

• Automatic Gate Installation: Our team offers automation for various swing gates, which can include intercoms, code entry, or cameras for secure identification of visitors.
• Servicing & Repairs: Expertly installing CAME equipment, we can generally repair and service most automatic gate equipment.
