EU Standards

*Changes in Standards*

It is important to note that since 1st June 2012, PD6662:2004 and DD243:2004 have been replaced by PD6662:2010 and BS 8243. PD6662:2010 introduced a new revision of PD6662 in 2010, with the new version becoming mandatory from 1st June 2012. BS 8243 was also published in 2010 and has replaced the older DD243:2004 from 1st June 2012. All professional installers must work to BS 8243 from 1st June 2012. The main new requirements introduced with BS 8243 are:

• The standard now covers Hold-Up Alarms as well as Intruder Alarms.
• Hold-Up Alarms must have sequential alarm confirmation.
• Transmission Fault signals can confirm a Hold-Up Alarm.
• Setting must be in two stages: 1st, start the procedure inside the premises; 2nd, complete setting outside the premises.
• Timed exit is now prohibited.

M25 Security Systems Ltd can provide security solutions for both domestic and commercial premises. Whether you are looking for a new system, upgrading your existing system, or just want your security equipment serviced regularly under a maintenance agreement by an SSAIB registered Security Company, we can help. We can install your Alarm, CCTV, and Entry system with minimal disruption. If it is a new build, we will install your wiring before plastering/decoration so all cables are concealed.

*Intruder Alarm System*

There are two main types of burglar alarm: Bells only and Monitored Systems. Bells only systems rely on sounders to both deter the burglar and also warn neighbours of the intrusion. Monitored Systems have all the features of the 'bells only' system with the addition of being monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre via a telephone line and/or radio link. When the alarm is triggered, it sends a signal to the Alarm Receiving Centre, who then notifies the key holders and police of the alarm.

*Entry Systems*

We offer audible or video entry systems with entry via a keypad or proximity reader with tags or cards. There are several different options and choices dependant on your needs.

*CCTV*

Whether you require one camera or ten, budget or top of the range, these can be installed in both domestic and commercial premises.
